The Los Angeles Chapter of Hospitality Financial & Technology Professionals - HFTP Los Angeles currently has a membership of over 100 hospitality professionals. The Chapter generally holds meetings on the evening of the third Thursday of each month. Our meetings are held at various hotels and clubs throughout the greater Los Angeles area and begin with a cocktail reception that offers attendees an opportunity to network and share industry news and ideas with one another. This ever popular cocktail hour is followed by a speaker who presents on a hospitality industry, educational or general interest topic, and the evening finishes with a gourmet dinner and more conviviality.

The Chapter is community-minded and also raises money for student scholarships, hosts social gatherings, contributes to local and national charities, and sponsors an annual seminar for its members. One of the most popular functions is the Holiday Party during which the Chapter raises significant funds through the annual silent auction. The Chapter website is updated monthly to keep members informed of exciting events, share and pass along valuable information and articles.

HFTP's member benefits have always been motivated by professional development. Through various resources, HFTP has provided members with education and information that assists its members in developing their careers. HFTP supports the hospitality industry in many ways including the promotion of a high level of professional standards through the CHAE and CHTP certification process. The association has also served to establish a network of hospitality finance and technology professionals that, through its infrastructure, allows colleagues to share experiences, ideas and acts as a source of assistance.
